On the walls above the archade arches are frescoes by Luigi Fontana depicting scenes from the Life of St Lawrence. These date from the late 19th century restoration. There is one large one on each side wall, flanked by a pair of smaller ones in yellow ochre monochrome, and a third large one on the counterfaçade.
